iPhone and Android app

An app that pays you when your flight is late

Two founders needed something real to show investors — not slides. We built a working version over one weekend. They got their money, and then we built the proper app.

Colibra — An app that pays you when your flight is late

What was wrong

When your flight is badly delayed you are owed money, but claiming it means reading rules, filling in forms and waiting months for an answer. Most people give up. The founders wanted the opposite of that: you land, and the money is already on its way.

What we built

A phone app for iPhone and Android that watches your flight, notices the delay before you do, and pays you a fixed amount without you filling in anything. Behind it sits the office software their own team uses to check the unusual cases and send the money out.

What's inside it

The parts that had to work before anyone could use it.

01
Add your flight once
Type the flight number or add the boarding pass. That is the whole setup.
02
It watches the flight for you
The app knows about the delay, the gate change and the cancellation as it happens.
03
You get told, not asked
A message on your phone when something changes, instead of an email chain.
04
Money without paperwork
No forms, no claim letters, no lawyer. The legal part happens quietly in the background.
05
The rules live in the app
Whether you are owed anything is worked out in seconds instead of argued about for weeks.
06
A screen for their own team
The staff who check odd cases and release payments have their own simple screen for it.
