Software that runs a school: admissions, fees, marks, timetable

The same child was written into an admission register, a spreadsheet, an exam sheet and a fee book. The office spent its week making four records agree.

e-SchoolBase — Software that runs a school: admissions, fees, marks, timetable

What was wrong

One child's details were written into an admission register, a spreadsheet, an exam sheet and a fee book — so the office spent most of its week making four records agree with each other, and parents got different answers depending on who they asked.

What we built

One place a school actually runs on: admissions, attendance, the timetable, exam marks, mark sheets, fees and receipts — with each member of staff seeing only their own part of it.

What's inside it

The parts that had to work before anyone could use it.

01
Admission typed in once
Everything afterwards — attendance, exams, fees — uses that one record.
02
The timetable, by dragging
Drag a class onto a slot. If it clashes with something, it says so.
03
Marks in, mark sheets out
Teachers enter marks and the sheets come out finished.
04
Fees and receipts
Who has paid, who hasn't, and a receipt that prints itself.
05
Each teacher sees their own classes
No scrolling past the whole school to find your form.
06
Each school's records stay its own
Every school gets its own private space in the system.
